Many can relate

Listening to Collier’s story has been a healing experience. Unfortunately, many people can relate because violence is so prevalent in our country.
I have my own horrible history and as a senior citizen, I am still dealing with the pain.
I am surprised to hear Collier say I love you to his father. I guess it is healthy, but I could never forgive my father for what he did to my mother, to my siblings and to me. I’ve been in therapy for most of the last 40 years, listening to you has become part of my therapy.
I think I may begin to write my story.
